Whether it is a menu makeover, or a makeover of the entire restaurant, each Disney restaurant is kept fresh and new. The Our Laughing Place Travel team always checks out their favorites for updated reviews. I happened upon the happy Disney World Dining reviewers at Garden Grill on our last trip. You can see the full review of the Garden Grill on YouTube.
My Disney World Dining Plans are among the very first vacation plans I make. Since I love to eat well on vacation, my itinerary is planned around my Disney World dining arrangements. I make good use of the OLP Travel Disney Dining Guide. I have dined at so many Disney World restaurants over the years. Still, I seem to always have unique Disney dining experiences. This is because Disney never stops refreshing their restaurants. Here is what they have been up to lately.
Disney World Dining ~ Spice Road Table
There is a new Disney World dining experience at Epcot. Spice Road Table can be found in the Morocco area of the theme park. This is truly a unique dining experience. The first thing to note is that the view of the World Showcase Lagoon from this restaurant is amazing. This may be the best place to be to view Illuminations. The restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating. It is set up like a Moroccan market place. You will find live entertainment from Mo Rockin’ Band there. The henna tattoo artist is also near the restaurant. There is a juice bar. I especially like that Disney has a shop stocked with great Mediterranean style food souvenirs to carry home. You will find different types of olives, spicy harissa and mint tea. This Disney World restaurant serves amazing tappas platters with mussels tagine, salted cod croquettes and fried calamari, lamb sliders, harissa chicken rolls and merguez sausage. Spice Road Table is not on a Disney World Dining Plan. You can’t reserve a table ahead of time there. Check it out the next time you are in Walt Disney World!
Disney World Dining – The Captain’s Grille
The Captain’s Grille at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort has a new look and a new menu. Disney freshened up the dining room with new wallpaper, tables and chairs. They now offer wine flights with both lunch and dinner. You will find some interesting wines offered. This wonderful restaurant is a hidden gem. It is one of the best places on Disney World property to get a good steak. If you don’t want to use two Disney World dining plan credits for a steak at Le Cellier in Epcot, just hop on out the International Gateway and dine at Captain’s Grille. If you are looking for a lighter fare, how abut the basic and delicious Lobster roll? It is served on a butter toasted Parker House roll. If you are interested in knowing what else Disney added you can find the list here. OLP Travel reviewers loved the Captain’s Grill.
